Syngonium plant

Syngonium plant is commonly known as arrowhead vine. It is a popular low maintenance climbing plant that features aero shaped green leaves. Syngonium plant is native to South America and mexico. Plant essentials

• Fertilizer:  Feed your syngonium plant once within every two weeks with a diluted fertilizer.  
• Repotting: Generally, syngonium plants need to be repotted within every two years. You can also repot your syngonium plant when growth seems to be stunted. 
• Propagated: Syngonium plants can be propagated through stem cutting. It is better to choose a stem which has a new shoot and has several arial nodes. Also, you can cut any stem with at least one root node and plant it directly in the potting soil. 

Common problem

• Your syngonium plant may look pale and burnt due to excessive direct sunlight. In this situation, move your plant to an indirect bright lighted place. 
• When your syngonium plant is thirsty it can drop some new leaves. To solve this issue, give enough water.    
• Your plant leaves may turn brown because of watering issues, both overwatering and underwatering can cause this. To prevent this, use a well draining potting mix and water your plant when the topsoil is dry.

Syngonium is an excellent air purifying plant, which will create the best environment if kept on the study or office desk. You can keep it near the windows or in the shaded balconies in hanging baskets, this will help them to get the filtered indirect sunlight which is important for plants to thrive.
